Connecting Locally from GVHS to GVE

Ms. Megan Lowe and Ms. Deanne Stephan connected their classrooms by using Ustream. Ms. Stephan's high school, Nonwestern cultures, performed a debate on the problems in African cultures. Ms. Lowe's 4th graders looked on and listened from their classroom using Ustream. It was an exciting experience for all the students. Take a look at the experience below.

What does DASH need to Survive? The answer: Resiliency and S.T.E.A.M.

Students in Mr. Talley's first grade class recently came to the C&I Lab at Concord Elementary.  One of the stations included students to build an L shaped track using old computer mice.  Once they built the track, students placed their 3-dimensional setting including what they NEED to survive.  Students used the PATH app to program Dash to the 3-dimensional setting.  Once arriving, students recorded what DASH would need to survive at their setting (beach, mountains, lake)! Save the Red Panda: Reduce Your Junk Mail NOW!!

The second grade ATP students at Concord have been working on an exciting project with the Philadelphia Zoo called the UNLESS contest.  The goal of the project is to encourage as many people as possible to reduce their paper / junk mail use in order to save the red panda (and the planet).  The video is now on YouTube!   Check it out!
